This is a great opportunity to join our staff in this warm and caring school for children and young people with learning difficulties, complex medical needs and autism. We offer a supportive team, a comprehensive in-house training programme, a bright and well-resourced environment and of course, wonderful pupils!

We are looking to appoint three permanent full-time Teaching Assistants and two temporary part-time (4 days a week for maternity cover) Teaching Assistants. The ideal candidates will have experience and understanding of SLD and autism to work with classes or individuals across the school.

The newly formed North Wiltshire School St Nicholas site caters for pupils aged 4-19 years and is based on three sites; our main building off Malmesbury Road, our bungalow near the school and our 6th Form, Poplar College, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham. Support staff could be based at any of these sites and this could be subject to change.  

Contract type:  3 permanent posts (30hrs) and 2 temporary maternity cover posts (24hrs). All posts are term-time only for 39 weeks a year which includes TD Days

Hours of work:  9.00am – 3.30pm Mon – Thurs, 9.00am – 3.00pm Fri, and alternate Wednesdays 9.00am – 4.30pm (training from 3.30pm – 4.30pm) for the 30hrs posts, the hours for the 24hr posts are the same but only for 4 days a week.

Salary: Grade F (£10.83 to £11.50/hour) pending pay award

Closing date (and time): Wednesday 30th September 2020 at 12 noon

Interview date:  week commencing 12th October 2020

Commencement date:  January 2021 at latest (permanent posts), ASAP (temporary posts)
